WEDNESDAY DAILY REPORT

COOL MORNING AND THEN A SUNNY NICE DAY WITH 66 THE HIGH.
TOMORROW WILL BE THE SAME.    THE ENTIRE WEEK AHEAD FORECAST
LOOK PRETTY GOOD.

JACKSON COUNTY HAS A NEW EMPLOYEE.   THE SUPERVISORS HAVE HIRED RYAN CONLEY OF DELMAR FOR THE NEW POSITION OF EMS SYSTEMS
COORDINATOR.     WITH STATE RULES BECOMING MORE COMPLICATED, THIS
POSITION WAS CREATED TO HELP WITH MAINTAINING THE TRAINING
FOR EMS SERVICES THROUGHOUT JACKSON COUNTY.   CONLEY FORMERLY
WORKED FOR THE JACKSON COUNTY REGIONAL HEALTH CENTER AMBULANCE SERVICE.

CLINTON COUNTY DEPUTY SHERIFF MATT OWENS INVESTIGATED A SINGLE CAR ACCIDENT THAT INVOLVED THE DRIVER, CARLENE PAUL, AGE 14, OF
MAQUOKETA AND A PASSENGER, DAWN PAUL, AGE 51, OF MAQUOKETA.
CARLENE PAUL WAS NORTHBOUND IN THE 11-HUNDRED BLOCK OF 220TH
AVENUE WHEN SHE LOST CONTROL AND AFTER OVER CORRECTING,
SHE ENTERED THE WEST DITCH, JUMPING A CULVERT AND  THE VEHICLE
THEN CAME TO REST IN A DRY WATERWAY.      BOTH PASSENGERS WERE
TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL IN MAQUOKETA FOR SUSPECTED MINOR
INJURIES.    BOTH WERE WEARING SEATBELTS.    DAMAGES WERE LISTED
AT $5,000 TO THE 2011 FOR FUSION.    CARLENE PAUL HAS BEEN CITED
FOR FAILURE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL.

THE UNITED LIVESTOCK AUCTION BUILDING OFF PERSHING ROAD AT THE
NORTH EDGE OF MAQUOKETA HAS BEEN SOLD.   IT HAS BEEN CLOSED FOR
A LONG TIME.
NOTICE, IT HAS BEEN PAINTED AND A VERY GOOD FENCE HAS BEEN
PUT UP AROUND THE ENTIRE PROPERTY.    THE NEW OWNER IS TOM LINCOLN FORM GALESBURG, ILLINOIS.    HE WILL OPERATE THE
BUSINESS AS "MAQUOKETA REGIONAL STOCKYARDS" AND IS PLANNING
TO HOLD A COUPLE OF SALES EACH WEEK, SELLING FAT CATTLE,
BULLS AND HORSES.      AND HE WILL ALSO HAVE HAY SALES.   
HE HAS WORKED IN THE PAST FOR SUPERIOR LIVESTOCK.    THE
MAQUOKETA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AMBASSADORS VISITED THE BUSINESS TODAY AND AN OPEN HOUSE IS PLANNED FOR THIS SUNDAY FROM 2 UNTIL 8 P.M.
THE OFFICIAL ADDRESS FOR THE BUSINESS IS:   610 NORTH MATTESON STREET, MAQUOKETA.      WE WELCOME TOM, STANDING IN THE SALE
RING ABOVE, TO THE MAQUOKETA BUSINESS COMMUNITY.    THE RE-OPENING OF THE FACILITY SHOULD BRING MANY PEOPLE TO MAQUOKETA EVERY WEEK.,

THE JACKSON COUNTY CONSERVATION STAFF FOR THE PAST FEW WEEKS HAS BEEN DOING PROJECTS AT THE NEW PRAIRIE CREEK RECREATION
AREA AT THE EAST EDGE OF MAQUOKETA.   ACCORDING TO CONSERVATION EDUCATION COORDINATOR JESS WAGNER, A LOT HAS BEEN ACCOMPLISHED.
LAST MONDAY, ABOUT 14 VOLUNTEERS REMOVED ABOUT 3,000 FEET OF FENCE AROUND THE SOUTHWEST FIELD.     WAGNER SAYS THEY PLAN TO
CONTINUE WORK EVENINGS AS LONG AS THERE IS INTEREST FROM THE
COMMUNITY.

THE FORMER KELLAMS AND BERTSCH BUILDING ON EAST QUARRY STREET DOWNTOWN WAS SOLD TO MAQUOKETA STATE BANK.    THE HEATING
AND AIR-CONDITIONING BUSINESS IS NOW LOCATED ON PERSHING ROAD.
BELOW....THE BUILDING AFTER BEING VACATED THIS SUMMER.   THEN

MUELLER AS A TEACHER IN MIDDLE SCHOOL OR AS YOUR DRIVERS ED TEACHER.    THAT'S WHAT HE DOES NOW AFTER OVER 30 YEARS IN THE
