YESTERDAY, I HAD THE ABOVE PHOTO ON THE DAILY REPORT BUT SAID I HAD
NO DETAILS ON IT.     OWNER GREG UELAND EMAILED KMAQ SALES REP
LOIS FISCHER WITH DETAILS AND HERE IS WHAT HE SAID:
"I LEASED THE LOT AT 600 EAST PLATT STREET.   MY BUSINESS HAS BEEN
GROWING AND I LEASED THIS LOT SO MY BUSINESS HAS MORE VISABILITY.
AT THIS EXTENSION LOT AND I CAN DISPLAY CARS I HAVE FOR SALE, BUT ALL
BUSINESS WILL BE  CONDUCTED AT THE SHOP AT 416 NORTH OTTO STREET.
WE CURRENTLY SELL USED CARS AND  REBUILT CARS, OFFER REFLEX BEDLINERS FOR EVERYTHING FROM PICKUP BOXES, ROCKER PANELS, TO SPRAYING BEDLINER ON  TRAILERS, AND WE DO BODY WORK.    WE ARE
IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING PERMANENT SIGNAGE UP AT THIS NEW
LOCATION SO THAT WILL  HELP.    I STILL WORK A FULL TIME DAY JOB
AND WORK AT THE SHOP NIGHTS, BUT HAVE HIRED ONE FULL TIME EMPLOYEE AND HOPE TO CONTINUE TO GROW".
THANKS GREG FOR THE INFORMATION AND GOOD LUCK WITH THE SECOND
LOCATION IN MAQUOKETA.

THE DECKER HOTEL IS OWNED BY MAQUOKETA BETTERMENT WITH A
COMMITTEE THAT WAS FORMED TO SAVE THE HOTEL AND GET IT  PROFITABLE AGAIN AND THEN SELL IT.

TODAY, THE  BRICKS WERE REPLACED AND THE REPAIR OF A SEWER
LINE IN FRONT OF THE LAW OFFICE IN DOWNTOWN MAQUOKETA HAS BEEN COMPLETED.   YOU CAN NOTICE THE PANELS TO TOP OF PHOTO THAT
ARE MORE GRAYISH IN COLOR.   THAT IS NEW CONCRETE, AS IS
A PORTION OF MAIN STREET.   IN THE MONTHS TO COME, THE CONCRETE
ON THE SIDEWALK AND IN THE STREET IS EXPECTED TO DRY COMPLETELY
AND MATCH THE OTHERS, SO DOWN THE ROAD,  ONE WILL NEVER KNOW
THE REPAIR JOB WAS DONE.   AND THIS WAS DONE AT NO COST TO THE
CITY.

I TOOK THIS PHOTO OFF THE BANNER IN FRONT DOOR OF KMAQ,
TELLING ABOUT THE JULY FREE CONCERT ON THE GREEN SPACE
STAGE IN DOWNTOWN MAQUOKETA, THIS SUNDAY NIGHT, FROM
6 UNTIL 8 P.M.    BRING  YOUR LAWN CHAIR.     ADAM BECK IS A NATIVE
OF MAQUOKETA....GRADUATED FROM MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL....
AND IS SON OF DENNIS AND MARY BECK OF RURAL MAQUOKETA.
ADAM IS A PROFESSIONAL SINGER, AS IS HIS FRIEND JOIE BOOTH.
SHOULD BE A GOOD CONCERT.
