ANDY CLARK IS ONE OF MAQUOKETA'S PRETTY GOOD GOLFERS! AND FOR AWHILE, HE WILL BE CLASSIFIED AS THE "BEST"! SATURDAY, AT THE MAQUOKETA COUNTRY CLUB COURSE, PLAYING IN A 2-PERSON BEST-SHOT
TOURNAMENT, HE STARTED ON HOLE #7 AND THREE HOLES LATER, ON THE PAR 3 #9 HOLE, HE GOT A HOLE-IN-ONE.
IT WAS 175 YARDS AND HE USED HIS 7 WOOD. THE CELEBRATING HAD TO WAIT AS THEY STILL HAD 15 HOLES TO PLAY. HE WAS PLAYING WITH ARDIE
BEHRENS AND THEY DID WIN MONEY, TAKING 1ST PLACE IN THE "SECOND
FLIGHT" WITH A SCORE OF 70 PAR. ACCORDING TO HIS WIFE CHERYL WHO GAVE ME THIS STORY, ANDY HAD BEEN CLOSE BEFORE, BUT THIS WAS HIS
FIRST HOLE-IN-ONE. ANDY MANAGES MAQUOKETA INN BEHIND
McDONALDS AND CHERYL IS OFFICE MANAGER FOR THE MAQUOKETA AREA
