KIM AND BRIAN RIXEN HAVE THEIR HALLOWEEN DISPLAY AGAIN IN FRONT OF THEIR HOME AT 210 SOUTH 5TH STREET IN
MAQUOKETA. DRIVE BY IF YOU GET A CHANCE. I SWEAR, ONE OF THE SCARY CHARACTORS IN THE SETTING LOOKS JUST LIKE BUDDY OLSON.

ALICIA DIRKS AND DUSTIN DERGANZ OF MAQUOKETA ARE PARENTS OF A GIRL BORN OCTOBER 11TH AT THE MAQUOKETA HOSPITAL. GRANDPARENTS ARE MATTHEW AND BECKY DIRKS OF MAQUOKETA AND KEN AND SHARON DERGANZ OF MAQUOKETA.

CHRISTOPHER AND PAUL BREWER OF MONTGOMERY, ILLINOIS, ARE PARENTS OF A GIRL BORN OCTOBER 11TH AT A HOSPITAL IN NAPERVILLE, ILLINOIS. GRANDPARENTS ARE ROBERT AND LINDA BAILEY AND JAMES MANDERSHEID, ALL OF MAQUOKETA.

JACKSON COUNTY RECEIVED FROM CLINTON COUNTY, JUST A LITTLE OVER $24,000 FOR USE OF THE ANDREW CARE FACILTY BY CLINTON COUNTY FOLLOWING A FIRE IN AUGUST AT THE CLINTON COUNTY HOME. OVER 40 OF THE RESIDENTS SPENT SEVERAL WEEKS IN THE JACKSON COUNTY BUILDING UNTIL REPAIRS WERE MADE TO THEIR HOME.

DR. ERIC PETERSON, D.O. IN MAQUOKETA, WAS THIS WEEK OFFICIALLY HIRED AS CLINTON COUNTY MEDICAL EXAMINER, REPLACING DR. PAUL KOOB OF MAQUOKETA, WHO RESIGNED IN LATE SEPTEMBER. PETERSON HAS BEEN ACTING EXAMINER SINCE THEN. ITS A PARTTIME POSITION. DR. PETERSON AS BEEN WITH MEDICAL ASSOCIATES IN MAQUOKETA SINCE 1998.
HE RECEIVED HIS TRAINING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE IN DES MOINES. MEDICAL ASSOCIATES WILL MOVE INTO NEW OFFICES THIS SPRING, IN THE FORMER JACK AND JILL BUILDING ON WEST PLATT, BEING REMODELED BY STOCKHAM AND SON CONTRACTORS.

MAQUOKETA FIRE CHIEF MARK BECK WAS HONORED AT THE FIRST EVER MAQUOKETA OPTIMIST CLUB FIREMEN APPRECIATION BANQUET LAST NIGHT. BECK RECEIVED A PLAQUE. HE HAS BEEN CHIEF FOR NEARLY 10 YEARS AND HAS BEEN WITH THE DEPARTMENT FOR 25 YEARS. ALSO, ALL FIREMEN RECEIVED A SHAVING KIT FROM THE CLUB.

I SPOKE TO THE GOOSE LAKE LIONS CLUB LAST NIGHT AND
KMAQ ENGINEER-ANNOUNCER TOM MESSERLI SPOKE TO THE DELMAR LIONS CLUB THIS MORNING. NEVER A DULL MOMENT IN RADIO.
