EVERY WEEK, WINDOW CARDS FOR A COMMUNITY EVENT ARE BROUGHT TO KMAQ,
TO USE ON OUR COMMUNITY EVENTS CALENDAR ....AND TO PUT IN OUR FRONT
WINDOW. WE PUT THE ANNOUNCEMENTS ON-THE-AIR FOR 3 DAYS PRIOR TO
AND INCLUDING THE DAY OF THE EVENT. THE CALENDAR IS ON-THE-AIR ON
BOTH KMAQ AM AND FM SEVERAL TIMES A DAY.....ALL AT NO CHARGE TO THE
CHURCH OR NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION. AND THE WINDOW CARD IS PUT IN
EVERY MONDAY, ONLY IN THE KMAQ DOOR WINDOW, AND STAYS THERE FOR THE
REST OF THE WEEK. THIS IS A BUSY TIME OF THE YEAR AS YOU CAN SEE.
THIS WEEK, THE DOOR IS FILLED WITH EVENTS FOR THE WEEK. CLICK-ON
THE PHOTO TO ENLARGE IT AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO READ ABOUT SOME OF
THE THINGS HAPPENING THIS BUSY WEEKEND AHEAD. CLICK TWICE AND IT WILL
BE EVEN LARGER AND EASIER TO READ. SORRY FOR THE GLARE.

FORREST MILLER IS BACK AT IT...GIVING WAGON RIDES AT COMMUNITY EVENTS.
I TOOK THIS PHOTO YESTERDAY AFTERNOON AT "PIONEER DAY" AT THE FAIRGROUNDS,
SPONSORED EVERY OCTOBER BY THE JACKSON COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY.
IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR THE EVENT AND A GOOD CROWD... THAT SHOULD HAVE
BEEN LARGER. MOSTLY SENIORS....NOT ENOUGH FAMILIES! GREAT PLACE FOR
KIDS TO LEARN HOW THINGS WERE DOWN IN THE GOOD OLE DAYS. THANKS TO
BONNIE MITCHELL AND HER STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS FOR PUTTING ON ANOTHER
GREAT PIONEER DAY. THE FOOD WAS AS ALWAYS, GOOD, AND I COULDN'T BELIEVE THE BAKE SALE SELECTION....WILL BE ENJOYING THIS WEEK A PECAN PIE I
PURCHASED AND ALSO BREAD IN A JAR. WE ARE SO LUCKY IN JACKSON COUNTY
TO HAVE A VERY ACTIVE HISTORICAL SOCIETY AND NOT ONE, BUT TWO, GREAT
MUSEUMS, PLUS ONE OF THE BEST OLD FARM EQUIPMENT DISPLAYS IN THE
COUNTRY, IN A SPECIAL, SEPARATE BUILDING AT THE FAIRGROUNDS.
