FORREST MILLER IS BACK AT IT...GIVING WAGON RIDES AT COMMUNITY EVENTS.
I TOOK THIS PHOTO YESTERDAY AFTERNOON AT "PIONEER DAY" AT THE FAIRGROUNDS,
SPONSORED EVERY OCTOBER BY THE JACKSON COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY.
IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR THE EVENT AND A GOOD CROWD... THAT SHOULD HAVE
BEEN LARGER. MOSTLY SENIORS....NOT ENOUGH FAMILIES! GREAT PLACE FOR
KIDS TO LEARN HOW THINGS WERE DOWN IN THE GOOD OLE DAYS. THANKS TO
BONNIE MITCHELL AND HER STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS FOR PUTTING ON ANOTHER
GREAT PIONEER DAY. THE FOOD WAS AS ALWAYS, GOOD, AND I COULDN'T BELIEVE THE BAKE SALE SELECTION....WILL BE ENJOYING THIS WEEK A PECAN PIE I
PURCHASED AND ALSO BREAD IN A JAR. WE ARE SO LUCKY IN JACKSON COUNTY
TO HAVE A VERY ACTIVE HISTORICAL SOCIETY AND NOT ONE, BUT TWO, GREAT
MUSEUMS, PLUS ONE OF THE BEST OLD FARM EQUIPMENT DISPLAYS IN THE
COUNTRY, IN A SPECIAL, SEPARATE BUILDING AT THE FAIRGROUNDS.
CLICK-ON THE PHOTO TO ENLARGE IT.
