AT THE CARSON AND SON FUNERAL HOME  IN MAQUOKETA.       CARSON'S HAVE A WEB SITE FOR ONLINE TRIBUTES AND ANY OF YOU THAT CARE TO LEAVE A TRIBUTE FOR THE FAMILY CAN  GO TO www.carsonand.com.
REST IN PEACE BERNICE AND THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES.

JACKSON COUNTY'S UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IMPROVED IN JUNE, WHEN IT WENT DOWN TO 5.6-PERCENT, DOWN FROM 6 PERCENT IN MAY.      IN JUNE LAST YEAR, IT WAS 7.1 PERCENT.

FOR SOME REASON, MOST OF THE NUMBERS IN THIS REPORT ARE SMALL.   IN PARAGRAPH ABOVE, THE 6 LOOKS OK, BUT THE 7.1 IS DIFFERENT.     ??

BOB DEVINE, I HAVE SOMEONE THAT WANTS YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS, SO EMAIL TOMORROW AND I'LL FORWARD IT ON TO HIM.       I HAVE IT SOMEPLACE, BUT NOT SURE I CAN FIND IT.     DON'T WORRY, THE GUY ISN'T GOING TO SELL YOU SOMETHING.     BY THE WAY,  LEIGHTON HEPKER OF KMAQ AND SON JUSTIN PLAYED GOLF TUESDAY IN PELLA IN THE HAWKEYE NETWORK EVENT AND PLAYED WITH YOUR SON TOM.
DIDN'T KNOW TOM WAS A RADIO SALESMAN FOR THE CHARLES CITY STATION.      BOB, TELL US MORE ABOUT TOM.       READERS, BOB DEVINE 40 YEARS AGO DID A POPULAR BIG BAND SUNDAY AFTERNOON SHOW ON KMAQ-AM.       HE WAS ALSO A PRETTY GOOD GOLFER AND HIS DAD-IN-LAW OWNED THE PRESTON TIMES FOR A LONG, LONG TIME.      ED BLACK WAS HIS NAME AND HIS DAUGHTER MARY AND BOB GOT TOGETHER SOMEWHERE.

POLICE BLOTTER:     GAS IS HIGHER THAN MANY LIKE.       SOMEONE TOOK ABOUT 10 GALLONS OF GAS FROM DAVID PETERS  VEHICLE ON CARDINAL DRIVE.

SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING WAS HELD TONIGHT AND IN CLOSED SESSION TO TALK ABOUT BUYING SOME PROPERTY.       NO IDEA WHAT PROPERTY.

THANKS FOR COMING BY AGIAN.
