YES...NANCY AND I WENT TO THE CIRCUS IN MAQUOKETA YESTERDAY....

AND IT WAS A REALLY GOOD SHOW!
THE CARSON & BARNES CIRCUS...THE WORLD'S BIGGEST "BIG TOP" SHOW!
MOST CIRCUS SHOWS ARE NOW IN AUDITORIUMS.    THIS ONE WHERE IT SHOULD BE, UNDER THE BIG TENT TOP.     NANCY AND I WENT TO THE 4:30 SHOW AND THERE WERE ABOUT A HUNDRED KIDS AND ADULTS THERE.
THE 7:30 SHOW HAD A FEW MORE.     POOR TURNOUT!    TOO BAD, AS
KIDS COULD GET IN FREE IF ONLY THE PARENTS OR GRANDPARENTS WOULD
HAVE TAKEN THEM.      THE CIRCUS TRUCKS AND WAGONS AND  RV'S NEARLY FILLED THE FAIR GROUNDS.     BEST $40 AFTERNOON I'VE HAD IN YEARS!
TWO TICKETS,  POPCORN AND A COKE.    WE PASSED UP THE COTTON
CANDY!      A PART OF AMERICA....HERE IN MAQUOKETA YESTERDAY,
AND MAYBE NEVER AGAIN.
