A MAQUOKETA MAN WAS CHARGED WITH RECKLESS DRIVING AFTER HIS VEHICLE HOPPED OVER A CURB AND THROUGH A PARKING LOT INTO AN APARTMENT BUILDING SATURDAY MORNING. CHARGED WAS DAVID GRIMM, AGE 46, AND HE DID NOT SEEK MEDICAL TREATMENT.
$10,000 WORTH OF DAMAGE TO A BUILDING OWNED BY KEN MOORE AND $15,000 DAMAGE TO THE FORD F150.

FRIDAY AFTERNOON, TWO VEHICLES COLLIDED ON MAIN STREET, ONE DRIVEN BY PATRICIA BOSTER, AGE 66 OF LOST NATION AND THE OTHER DRIVEN BY KATINA RALSTON OF MAQUOKETA. ONE WAS COMNG OUT OF FAREWARE PARKING LOT AND DID NOT SEE THE OTHER. APPARENTLY NO ON INJURED.

AND FRIDAY MORNING, PETER ADA, 26, OF MAQUOKETA WAS CHARGED WITH FAILURE TO YIELD ON ENTERING A THROUGH HIGHWAY. HE PULLED ONTO MAIN FROM A PRIVATE DRIVE AND DID NOT SEE A VEHICLE DRIVEN BY MILDRED SCHNEDEN, 85, OF DELMAR.
NO INJURIES.

FRIDAY NIGHT, SIX CARS IN THE BRAD DEERY LOT WERE KEYED.
ALSO, SOME POLITICAL LAWN SIGNS WERE TAKEN IN TOWN AND SOMEONE DUMPED OVER THE DUMPSTER AT CARDINAL SCHOOL.

IN COURT NEWS, WALT STURTZ, AGE 61, OF MAQUOKETA,
WAS CHARGED WITH PHONE HARASSMENT.

STEVEN WILSON, AGE 19, OF MAQUOKETA, WAS CHARGED WITH PUBLIC INTOXICATION AND POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA. HE WAS ARRESTED ABOUT 9:15 SATURDAY NIGHT ON EAST MAPLE STREET.

CITY COUNCIL MEETING TONIGHT.

STUART GRAVES, 88, OF MAQUOKETA, DIED SATURDAY MORNING WHILE RAKING HIS LAWN.
HE WORKED AT KIRK AND OTTING MOTORS, THEN MEINERZ CREAMERY, THEN RALSTON PURINA AND HELPED FORREST MILLER AT ForD ACRES AT MONMOUTH. HE LOVED HORSES AND WAS A MEMBER OF THE JACKSON COUNTY DRAFT HORSE ASSOCIATION. HE IS SURVIVED BY TWO DAUGHTERS AND 4 GRANDCHILDREN.

POWER WENT OUT BEFORE 4 THIS AFTERNOON IN PARTS OF MAQUOKETA. KMAQ DID NOT LOOSE STUDIO POWER, BUT DID LOOSE POWER AT THE TRANSMITTER SITE NORTHEAST OF THE CITY.
POWER WAS BACK THROUGHOUT MAQUOKETA BY ABOUT 5 P.M. AND THEN FINIALLY RESTORED AT THE
TRANSMITTER SITE AT 5:50 P.M. NO WORD YET AS TO WHAT THE PROBELEM WAS.
