MONDAY DAILY

DREW ETIENNE IS DOING A MURAL ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE FORMER PECKOSH
LAW OFFICE, ACCROSS THE STREET FROM THE "GREEN SPACE".    HE IS FROM INDIANNA, GOT HIS BACHELOR OF FINE ARTS IN INDIANNA  AND NOW IS IN GRAD SCHOOL AT IOWA.    HE IS IN HIS SECOND YEAR OF THE GRANT WOOD PUBLIC ART RESIDENCY.    A LOCAL STEERING COMMITTEE LED BY NANCY KILBURG OF MAQUOKETA ART EXPERIENCE HAS TEAMED UP WITH EAST CENTRAL INTERGOVERNMENTAL ASSOCIATION TO BUILD ON A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF IOWA OUTREACH AND ENGAGEMENT AND STUDENTS WHO COMPLETED THE GRANT WOOD RESIDENCY.    HE IS NOT MARRIED BUT HAS A LADY FRIEND.    THIS IS A SALARIED SUMMER JOB AND HE EXPECTS TO FINISH THIS WEEK. THE MURAL'S DESIGN WILL ENCAPSULATE MANY OF THE FEATURES THAT MAKE
MAQUOKETA "ONE OF A KING".   I'LL HAVE A MUCH BETTER PHOTO AFTER HE
COMPLETES THE MURAL.
