AGE 33 OF MAQUOKETA.   AN ANIMAL RAN IN FRONT OF HIS CAR AND HE
SWERVED BUT STRUCK A MAIL BOX AND DECORATIVE ROCK AT THE DAVID
CLARK RESIDENCE.    $1,000 DAMAGE TO HIS CAR. NO CHARGES FILED.

THE HOSPITAL IN MAQUOKETA  WILL BE OFFERING KNEW SURGERY
BEGINNING IN JUNE.  DURING A HOSPITAL BOARD MEETING LAST NIGHT,
THE BOARD HEARD THAT DUBUQUE ORTHOPEDIC SURGEONS WILL OFFER THE OUT-PATIENT SERVICE.    THE BOARD APPROVED $56,000 WORTH OF EQUIPMENT TO DO THE SURGERY HERE.

THE CARDINAL BOYS SOCCER TEAM LOST TO ANAMOSA 5 TO 2 YESTERDAY.
THE BOYS TENNIS  TEAM LOST TO CAMANCHE 9 TO 0 AND
THE GIRLS ALSO LOST BY THE SAME SCORE TO CAMANCHE.
THE CARDINAL GIRLS GOLF TEAM TOOK 6TH PLACE IN A DUBUQUE
TOURNAMENT YESTERDAY...
AND THE BOYS GOLF TEAM LOST TO ANAMOSA.   MATT HANSEN
CARDED A 38 FOR MAQUOKETA.
IN TRACK, LAURA OSTERHAUS OF MAQUOKETA HIGH WILL BE
AT THE DRAKE RELAYS THIS WEEK ... A FOUR TIME QUALIFIER
IN THE HIGH JUMP.
ALSO IN THE RELAYS, THE GIRL'S 4 BY 100 METER TEAM....AND
RACING ON THAT TEAM, HANNAH GRUENWALD, LAURA NUEMBERGER,
ASHLEY TRENT AND AUBREE TAYLOR.

GOOD LUCK TO THE 5 CARDINAL GIRLS AT THE DRAKE RELAYS.
THERE WILL BE NO MAQUOKETA BOYS THERE THIS YEAR.
