COLD TODAY...HIGH OF 29.
LIGHT SNOW POSSIBLE TONIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING.
MORE SNOW, POSSIBLY INCHES, LATE WEDNEDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY
MORNING.
AND THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY IT WILL STICK AROUND AND PROVIDE
WHITE CHRISTMAS IN MAQUOKETA.

ON THE KMAQ JUST TALK SHOW TODAY, WE LEARNED THAT THE
CHARLIE DANIELS BAND WILL BE THE HEADLINER ENTERTAINMENT ON SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE JACKSON COUNTY FAIR NEXT SUMMER.
THEY SHOULD DRAW A CROWD!!  THAT'S ON JULY 28TH.
ALSO IT WAS ANNOUNCED THAT NEW REST ROOMS/SHOWERS
WILL BE IN A NEW BUILDING NEAR VOLUNTEER HALL AT THE FAIRGROUNDS.

HOSPITAL BOARD MEETING TOMORROW.

IN HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL , LAST FRIDAY NIGHT, THE CARDINALS BOYS BEAT DYERSVILLE 50 TO 48.   THE GIRLS THERE, LOST 51 TO 40.
THE BOYS ARE NOW 3 AND 3 AND THE GIRLS ARE 0 AND 8.

IN WRESTLING, IN THE SABER INVITATIONAL SATURDAY AT DEWITT, WITH A DOZEN TEAMS COMPETING....THE CARDINAL GRAPPLERS FINISHED IN 3RD
PLACE.   MAQUOKETA HAD ONE CHAMPION, JACOB KLOFT AT 138-POUNDS.

THE HIGH SCHOOL BOWLERS WERE IN A TRIANGULAR AT MARION FRIDAY.
IN THE BOYS ACTION, THE CARDS FINISHED SECOND AND IN THE GIRLS
COMPETITION, THE CARDINALS FINISHED IN THIRD PLACE.
