GALENA IS BOOMING. THEY RE-DID DOWNTOWN STREETS AND SIDEWALKS.
A NEW SUPER WAL MART RECENTLY OPENED. AND IN THE DUBUQUE TH YESTERDAY, THE STORY ABOUT TWO IRISHMEN THAT BUILDT AN 80 ROOM IRISH HOTEL AND IRISH PUB/RESTAIRMAT AT THE EDGE OF TOWN. MOST OF FURNISHINGS SHIPPED TO GALENA FROM IRELAND. MANY OF THE EMPLOYEES MOVED TO GALENA FROM IRELAND TO WORK AT THE PLACE AND THEIR SAYING IS, EVERY DAY IS ST. PATRICK'S DAY THERE. THIS STORY HERE JUST TO PROVE THAT EVEN IF YOU WORK FOR KMAQ, YOU CAN ALSO MAKE THE NEWS
WITH A STORY YOU MAY NOT BE HAPPYABOUT. RADIO SHACK IS OPEN AS ALWAYS TODAY.
