AND AT THE DISTRICT IN MARION FRIDAY NIGHT, THE CARDINAL 4 BY 100 METER RELAY TEAM SET A SCHOOL RECORD IN TAKING FIRST PLACE. ON THAT TEAM, SENIOR BRYN GISEL, SENIOR JAKE KIRK, SOPHOMORE JON BOPES AND SENIOR
TYLER RUTENBECK. THEIR TIME FRIDAY NIGHT WAS 43.43.
ON THE GIRL'S SIDE, MAQUOKETA'S LAURA OSTERHAUS FINISHED FIRST IN THE
HIGH JUMP FRIDAY, CLEARING THE BAR AT 5 FEET, 2 INCHES. SHE ALSO GOES TO STATE IN DES MOINES THIS WEEK. HER BEST EFFORT IS 5-FEET, 4 INCHES.

THE HISTORIC DECKER HOTEL, BUILDT IN 1876, WILL HAVE NEW OWNERS EFFECTIVE THIS WEEK. TROY AND RAEANN THEDE ANNOUNCED TODAY THAT THEY HAVE SOLD THE DOWNTOWN LANDMARK TO MATT AND LISA MILLEN OF PLATTVILLE, WISCONSIN. THEY WILL TAKE OVER OPERATION OF THE FACILITY THIS WEDNESDAY. BOTH MATT AND LISA WORKED AT THE DECKER ABOUT 7 YEARS GO. HE WAS A COOK THEN AND LISA WAS A WAITRESS AND ALSO ATTENDED PALMER
CHIROPRACTIC COLLEGE IN DAVENPORT. MATT IS LEAVING THE PRINTING BUSINESS TO RUN THE DECKER. THE COUPLE HAVE TWO YOUNG CHILDREN AND WILL CONTINUIE TO LIVE IN PLATTVILLE WHERE LISA HAS A CHIROPRACTIC OFFICE. MATT WILL COMMUTE AND WILL BE HERE MOST OF THE WEEK. HIS PARENTS, ROD AND NADINE MILLEN, WILL LIVE IN THE DECKER HOTEL UPSTAIRS APARTMENT AND WILL ASSIST IN THE OPERATION OF THE HOTEL AND RESTAURANT. MATT PLANS FEW CHANGES BUT MAY SOON EXTEND THE "OPEN" HOURS OF THE RESTAURANT AND BAR. TROY AND RAEANN HAVE OWNED THE DECKER FOR OVER 19 YEARS AND WILL CONTINUE TO LIVE IN MAQUOKETA WITH THEIR 3 CHILDREN. THEY HAVE AN INTEREST IN THE COMFORT INN AT THE SOUTH EDGE OF MAQUOKETA AND TROY WILL CONTINUE WORKING THERE. RAEANN IS IN THE JEWELRY BUSINESS WITH HER FRIEND AND ASSOCIATE LENKA CARSON OF MAQUOKETA AND WILL CONTINUE WITH THAT BUSINESS. THE 3-STORY DECKER HOTEL HAS A BASEMENT SPORTS BAR, THE MAIN FLOOR RESTAURANT AND 17 HOTEL ROOMS THAT WERE COMPLETELY
