Maquoketa's BLACK VELVET BAND
entertained last night at the 6th Annual MEN WHO COOK dinner
at the fairgrounds, sponsored by
the Maquoketa Rotary, Optimist,
Lions and Kiwanis Clubs.
And, as always, they were well
received. Rob Deegan, enjoying
some sunshine in Florida for awhile,
was not with them. Front, Curt Lichter. Back row, left to right,
Chuck Jorgensen, Dale Kilburg,
David Manning and Dan Caraway.
They have a CD with 13 songs on it and it is available at Osterhaus Pharmacy or here at KMAQ. $10 OR $13 with shipping and handling. One will be a prize on this Wednesday's KMAQ BINGO SHOW and one will also be sold on KMAQ'S AUCTION SHOW this Saturday.
Curt told me they hope to come out with a new CD sometime this year. They really like
doing Irish songs and will feature some on the CD. CLICK-ON PHOTO TO ENLARGE IT.
