THIS PHOTO WAS TAKEN BY MY WIFE NANCY IN 1980. WE WERE ATTENDING A "SHOW-A-RAMA" MOVIE CONVENTION AT HALLMARK CARD'S "CROWN CENTER HOTEL"IN KANSAS CITY. CHARLTON HESTON WAS THERE PROMOTING A MOVIE AND THE STUDIO INVITED CONVENTION GOERS TO THEIR HOTEL SUITE TO MEET
CHARLTON. I REMEMBER HE WAS VERY FRIENDLY. AND, I REMEMBER TELLING HIM THAT I LIKED ALL OF HIS MOVIES, BUT MY FAVORITE WAS THE MOVIE,
"THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH", AND HIS ROLE AS THE MANAGER OF THE
FAMOUS CIRCUS. THAT MOVIE WON THE ACADEMY AWARD FOR BEST MOVIE
OF THE YEAR, IN THE EARLY 50'S. I ALSO HAVE HIS AUTOGRAPH. I WISH I
WOULD HAVE KEPT THOSE BIG DARK GLASSES I WAS WEARING. YES, HE WAS A LITTLE TALLER THAN I. CHARLTON HESTON DIED LAST SATURDAY NIGHT
AT THE AGE OF 84. HE WAS 56 IN THIS PHOTO.
