IT IS SNOWING IN MAQUOKETA!
STARTED JUST BEFORE 4 P.M.
UP TO 6 INCHES EXPECTED BETWEEN NOW AND NOON
TOMORROW.

THE MAQUOKETA YMCA WILL BE LOOKING FOR ANOTHER
DIRECTOR. DAVE BAKER HAS ANNOUNCED THAT HE WILL
LEAVE THE POSITION AT THE END OF THE MONTH TO BECOME THE NEW YMCA DIRECTOR AT
STONEY POINT IN CEDAR RAPIDS.
HE WILL BE CLOSER TO HIS CHILDREN. HE RECENTLY CAME
TO MAQUOKETA FROM THE YMCA IN OMAHA.

ANOTHER CAR-DEER ACCIDENT. ASHLEE TRAFFORD OF MAQUOKETA HIS A DEAR AT 1:28 A.M. NOVEMBER 27TH ON 170TH AVENUE. $2,000 IN DAMAGES TO HER
CAR. SHE WAS NOT INJURED.

DEWITT, DELMAR, PRESTON, WYOMING, AND LOST NATION ARE ALL HAVING
SPECIAL CHRISTMAS EVENTS IN THEIR COMMUNITIES THIS WEEKEND.

RYAN DUHME OF MAQUOKETA ROLLED ANOTHER PERFECT 300 GAME LAST NIGHT
AT TIMBER LANES, IN THE SUBURBAN LEAGUE. THE SECOND IN A WEEK.
HE HAD ONE LAST FRIDAY IN THE LATE AFTERNOON INDUSTRIAL LEAGUE.

TODAY, FORMER MAQUOKETA RESIDENT MAX MOELLER IS CELEBRATING 65 YEARS SINCE BEING HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A US NAVY RADIO OPERATOR
2ND CLASS. HE IS 91 AND ENJOYING THE NEW HOME HE BUILT THIS

BRAND NEW AND A SPECIAL KIND....NOTE THE WINGS ON EACH
SIDE. AS SOON AS THE SNOW STOPS, THE BRAD DEERY GUYS GO TO WORK AND GET THE SNOW OFF THE LOTS AND HUNDREDS OF
VEHICLES. AND, BOTH SERVICE AND SALES STAY OPEN WHILE
THE REMOVAL OF SNOW GOES ON. AND...OF COURSE...SOON AFTER THE SNOW STARTS, CITY CREWS ALSO TAKE TO THE STREETS AND WORK HARD TO KEEP TRAVEL GOING IN THE TIMBER CITY. FIVE OR SIX INCHES EXPECTED TONIGHT AND TOMORROW
MORNING. DRIVE CAREFULLY AND BUCKLE-UP.
