THESE "NO" SIGNS ARE ON YARDS ALL OVER TOWN. THE MESSAGE IS....
VOTE NO....NOVEMBER 8TH IN THE MAQUOKETA CITY ELECTION. A "VOTE NO"
MAJORITY WILL KEEP THE CITY COUNCIL FROM TAKING OVER DAY-TO-DAY
MANAGEMENT OF MAQUOKETA MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHT AND POWER COMPANY.
I DEFINITELY WILL VOTE "NO" AS THE CITY COUNCIL HAS ALL THEY CAN HANDLE
WITH OTHER CITY MATTERS AND SHOULD NOT TAKE ON EXTRA RESPONSIBILITIES OF
RUNNING THE LIGHT PLANT AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM. DO NOT VOTE "YES"...AND
WE WILL KEEP THE CURRENT MMEU BOARD. VOTE "NO"!
