SUNDAY WAS A BEAUTIFUL DAY, HIGH OF 56.

TODAY, SUNNY, BREEZY AND HIGH IN 40'S.

THE MAQUOKETA GIRLS WON THEIR GAME OVER
MT. PLEASANT SATURDAY NIGHT AND ARE NOW 1 AND 2.

THE MAQUOKETA POLICE INVESTIGATED 4 ACCIDENTS OVER THE WEEKEND, AND ONLY MINOR INJURIES REPORTED.

THE MAQUOEKTA ROTARY CITIZEN OF THE WEEK THIS WEEK IS A LONGTIME, WELL-KNOWN MAQUOKETA WOMAN. A
PICTURE AND STORY ON HER AT www.maquoketa-rotary.org

THE ONWARD FINE ARTS CENTER ON EAST PLATT IN MAQUOKETA HAS RECEIVED ANOTHER GRANT, $5,000, FROM THE PEARSON MEMORIAL GROUP. GARY DREW, THE MAIN ORGANIZER OF THE FACILITY, SAID THE MONEY WILL BE USED INSIDE THE BUILDING. THE EXTERIOR OF THE 800 SEAT AUDITORIUM IS COMPLETE, EXCEPT FOR PARKING AND SIDEWALKS. DREW SAID VOLUNTEERS WILL WORK INSIDE ALL WINTER AND HOPEFULLY IT WILL BE OPEN A YEAR FROM NOW OR SOONER.

I WILL BE ESCORTING THE KMAQ TRAVEL BUS TO BRANSON, ALONG WITH MY WIFE NANCY, TOMORROW THRU FRIDAY, SO MY NEXT REPORT, WILL BE THIS SATURDAY OR SUNDAY.
I'LL TRY TO RE-CAP THE WEEK OF LOCAL NEWS THEN.

NO BIRTHS. NO DEATHS.

HAVE A GOOD WEEK.
