MORE ON THE LARRY BARTELS ACCIDENT. I GOT AN EMAIL FROM HIS WIFE, MARY.
SHE SAID HE WAS TO HAVE SURGERY EARLY THIS MORNING. SHE SAYS HE HAS MULTIPLE FACIAL FRACTURES, BUT THEY BELIEVE NO RECONSTRUCTIVE
SURGERY WILL BE NEEDED. THEY ARE AWAITING ORTHOPEDIC SURGERY ON THE BROKEN LEG. SHE SAYS HE IS AS COMFORTABLE AS CAN BE EXPECTED CONSIDERING THE CIRCUMSTANCES. SHE ALSO SAID BOTH SHE AND LARRY WERE SO IMPRESSED WITH THE DECISION MAKING AND THE CHAIN OF EVENTS THAT OCCURRED AFTER THE ACCIDENT. AND, THE CARE THAT LARRY RECEIVED AFTER FROM STATE TROOPER MILAN JAMES AND DEPUTY STEVE SCHROEDER. SHE ALSO MENTIONED THE WONDERFUL PARAMEDICS, AND THE EXPERTISE OF THE HOSPITAL STAFF AND THEIR CARE AND COMFORT. MARY WENT ON TO SAY IN THE EMAIL TO ME: "I JUST CAN'T SAY ENOUGH OF HOW TRULY BLESSED WE ARE TO HAVE SUCH WONDERFUL PROFESSIONALS RIGHT HERE IN JACKSON COUNTY. WE ARE ALL SO VERY GRATEFUL TO HAVE A COMMUNITY SUCH AS THIS".
MARY.....WE ALL HOPE THAT LARRY WILL BE UP AND ABOUT SOON.
