THE BIG CATCH....BY ROBERT CHRISTENSEN! IT WAS CAUGHT A COUPLE YEARS AGO BY THE LAKEHURST DAM AND JIM RANKIN WAS THERE AND SAW ROBERT STRUGGLING OUT IN THE RIVER IN ABOUT FIVE FEET OF WATER. THE WALLEYE WAS A 10 POUNDER AND WAS RELEASED AFTER HE SHOWED IT TO FRIEND RED HENTON. ROBERT SAID HE TOOK QUITE SOME TIME TO GET THE BIG ONE TO BREATHE AGAIN. THE FISH IS PROBABLY STILL FREE AND SWIMMING THE BEAUTIFUL MAQUOKETA RIVER.
YOU CAN'T FISH DOWN THERE ANYMORE AS THE SHORE IS NOW OFF LIMITS. YOU'LL NOTICE THE NO TRESPASSING SIGN POSTED RECENTLY.

61 KARTWAY (1580 HIGHWAY 61, DELMAR) IS ONE OF THE BEST TRACKS IN THE TRI-STATE AREA. GO-CART OWNERS COME REGULARLY FROM ALL OVER TO IMPROVE THEIR SKILLS AND "TWEEK" THEIR CARTS. LOCALLY OWNED AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
FOR 10-MINUTE SESSIONS USING "HOUSE" GO-CARTS. ALSO ONE FOR YOUNGER
KIDS. I'M THE ONE SITTING IN THE CART READY TO GO. GRANDSON
JACOB CLAUSSEN IS GETTING LAST-MINUTE INSTRUCTIONS. WE WERE THE ONLY
TWO ON THE TRACK FOR THE 10-MINUTE SESSION. AS SOON AS WE WERE DONE,
THE NEXT DRIVERS "START THEIR ENGINES. IT WAS FUN!
