THERE WAS NO SNOW ON GROUND THIS MORNING.
THE WEATHER WARNING WAS LIFTED AT MID MONING....AND LIGHT SNOW IS FALLING NOW....MAYBE AN INCH TONIGHT.
TOMORROW, SUNNY AND HIGH AROUND 40.

BELLEVUE MARQUETTE WON BIG TODAY AND WILL PLAY FOR THE 1-A CHAMPTIONSHIP AT 6:30 TOMORROW NIGHT. JORDAN, THEIR 7-1 CENTER HAD 41 POINTS TODAY.
ON THE OTHER HAND, THE NORTHEAST REBELS LAST THIS AFTERNOON.....
THERE GAME WASN'T CLOSE EITHER...AND THEY PLAY FOR 3RD PLACE TOMORROW MORNING AT 11:30. BOTH GAMES WILL BE ON KMAQ-FM TOMORROW.

THE IOWA HAWKEYES NCAA GAME WILL BE ON KMAQ-AM TOMORRO MORNING AT 10:15.

THE GENERAC INDUSTRY IN MAQUOKETA WILL HAVE TO PAY BACK TO THE STATE DOT NEARLY $150,000 BECAUSE THEIR GRANT REQUIRED THAT THEY PROVIDE 380 JOBS WHEN THEY OPEN. THIS NEVER HAPPENED AND THEY CAN PAY BACK THE STATE AT ABOUT $30 A YEAR, WITH NO INTEREST. THEY NOW EMPLY 88.

JACKSON COUNTY RECORDER PHYLISS GERLACH WILL RETIRE AT THE END OF THIS YEAR, THE END OF HER 8TH YEAR. HER DEPUTY ARLENE SCHAUF HAS FILED PAPERS TO RUN FOR THE JOB. SHE'S A DEMOCRAT.
