FRIDAY DAILY REPORT

SUNSHINE AND 31 TODAY.
SNOW STILL IN FORECAST FOR TOMORROW AFTERNOON AND
NIGHT AND ENDING SUNDAY MORNING.     COULD BE SEVERAL INCHES
TOTAL.

A SNOW EMERGENCY IN MAQUOKETA GOES INTO EFFECT AT 6 P.M. SATURDAY AND  UNTIL 6 P.M. MONDAY.

THE FIRE DEPARTMENT GOT A CALL JUST AFTER 11 THIS MORNING TO THE LAZY J MOTEL ON WEST PLATT STREET.    A REPORT OF A  BURNING SMELL
WAS GIVEN.    TURNED OUT TO BE AN ELECTRICAL BURNING SMELL
AND THERE WAS NO FIRE.    THE LAZY J FOR MANY YEARS HAS NOT BEEN
A MOTEL, BUT INSTEAD, SEVERAL ONE AND TWO BEDROOM APARTMENTS.    THE OLD SIGN IS STILL OUT BY THE STREET AND IT IS STILL CALLED THE LAZY J.   DON'T KNOW THE HISTORY OF IT EITHER...WHEN IT
WAS BUILDT AND BY WHO.    ANYONE KNOW?

GARY CHRISTOFFERSEN, AGE 58, OF FLORIDA, DIED TUESDAY.    HE GRADUATED FROM DELWOOD HIGH SCHOOL AND SURVIVORS INCLUDE HIS WIFE, 2 SONS AND A TWIN SISTER, MARY DEHAVEN OF MAQUOKETA.    THERE WILL BE NO MEMORIAL SERVICE AT THIS TIME.

WHO IS SHE?   A THEATRE GIFT CARD TO THE FIRST 5 TO EMAIL ME WITH
HER NAME.

7:30.   GO CARDINALS!  THE BOYS ARE STILL LOOKING FOR THEIR
FIRST WIN AND THE GIRLS HAVE ONLY WON 2 OR 3 GAMES.   
I WILL HAVE THE SCORES HERE TOMORROW MORNING.
