SUNDAY, WE VISITED THE "ILLINOIS RAILWAY MUSEUM" AT UNION, ILLINOIS,
ON HIGHWAY 20 ABOUT 2 1/2 HOURS FROM MAQUOKETA.    IT IS
AMERICA'S LARGEST RAILROAD MUSEUM AND SUNDAY, THE ANNUAL
"DAY OUT WITH THOMAS"  (WEEK LONG EVENT) WAS STILL ON AND FEATURED THOUSANDS OF PARENTS WITH KIDS.   IT WAS A FESTIVE DAY!
IF YOU ARE A RAILROAD FAN LIKE ME, YOU'LL  WANT SEE IT SOMETIME.
GOOGLE FOR IT'S WEB SITE.     YOUR VISIT WILL INCLUDE A 45-MINUTE
TRAIN RIDE THROUGH RURAL UNION.   THERE'S A 50'S RESTAURANT ON THE GROUNDS.    ACRES OF RAILROAD MEMORIES AND A DOZEN BIG BUILDINGS
FILLED WITH HISTORY.
