ACCIDENT AROUND 10:3O LAST SATURDAY NIGHT. DEREK HOTLER, AGE 22, OF MAQUOKETA WAS DRIVING NORTH ON 212TH AVENUE AND HOTLER
SAID AN ANIMAL CAME OUT IN FRONT OF VEHICLE. HE SWERVED TO
MISS THE ANIMAL AND LOST CONTROL OF HIS ATV. HE WAS THROWN
FROM THE VEHICLE AND IT ENDED UP IN A DITCH. HOTLER RECEIVED A SEVERE LACERATION TO HIS HEAD AND WAS TAKEN TO GENESIS EAST
HOSPITAL IN DAVENPORT. HIS 2006 YAMAHA ATV WAS TOTALED.

TOM BORICH OF IOWA STATE WILL TALK ABOUT THE VISION 2020 MEETINGS ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
TOM DEVINE OF THE CHAMBER OFFICE WILL ASK TO USE THE CITY'S DOWNTOWN GREEN SPACE DURING HOMECOMING WEEKEND.
THE NEW CEILING BIDS FOR THE COMMUNITY CENTER WILL BE DISCUSSED.
AND THE COUNCIL WILL TALK ABOUT THE FUTURE OF THE OLD POOL
SITE.
RAN INTO GARY AND JUDY SEBBERT SATURDAY NIGHT...AND THEIR
ENTIRE FAMILY. THEY WILL CELEBRATE THEIR 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AUGUST 31ST. THE FORMER MAQUOKETANS (HE WAS A TEACHER HERE) HAVE LIVED MANY YEARS IN MUSCATINE.
BRENT RATHJE PARTICIPATED IN THE FARM BUREAU COOKOUT CONTEST LAST WEEK AT THE STATE FAIR. DIDN'T WIN WITH HIS CHICKEN ENTRY,
BUT DID WELL. HE'S STILL SIDING FOR CONNELL SUPPLY COMPANY.
THE FOOTBALL SEASON STARTS FRIDAY NIGHT FOR THE CARDINALS,
AGAIN COACHED BY KEVIN BOWMAN. KEVIN'S FIRST WEEKLY COACHES
SHOW IS AT 5:50 P.M. THIS THURSDAY ON BOTH KMAQ AM AND FM.
