WORK HAS BEEN COMPLETED ON THE RE-DECORATING OF THE COURTROOM AT THE JACKSON COUNTY COURTHOUSE IN MAQUOKETA.
AFTER 50 PLUS YEARS, IT NEEDED IT.    PAINTING, NEW CARPET, NEW DOORS, NEW CEILING, AND TWO TABLES FOR THE PROSECUTOR AND THE DEFENSE LAWYER (OVER ALL THE YEARS, THE TWO ATTORNEYS AND THEIR
CLIENT SHARED ONE T-SHAPED TABLE) AND NEW DRAPES, PLUS A FEW OTHER THINGS, HAVE RESULTED IN A NICE NEW LOOK.   STOP IN AND SEE IT SOMETIME.    OFFICIALLY, TRY TO STAY OUT OF ONE OF THOSE RED CHAIRS....AND IF YOU LIVE IN JACKSON COUNTY YOU MIGHT SOMEDAY SIT IN ONE OF THE WHITE JUROR  CHAIRS.
