AHHH...A SUPER TUESDAY...SUNNY AND AROUND 50....

BRAD DEERY MOTORS HAS PURCHASED FROM JACKSON COUNTY, THE FORMER MICHEL'S TRUCK STOP IN MAQUOKETA. NO ONE SPOKE TODAY DURING THE PUBLIC HEARING AND NO WRITTEN COMMENTS. IT WAS SOLD FOR $160, 005.98.
THE COUNTY ATTORNEY WILL PROCESS THE PAPER WORK. BRAD DEERY MOTORS
HAS BEEN RENTING THE PROPERTY FROM THE COUNTY FOR MANY YEARS.
ALSO TODAY, THE COUNTY SUPERVISORS REJECTED ALL BIDS FOR THE LAND
AT THE CORNER OF CRESLANE AND GERMAN STREETS. THEY DID SO BECAUSE THE HIGHEST BID OF $21,000 WAS TOO LOW AS THE PROPERTY HAD BEEN APPRAISED AT $56,000. THE SUPERVIORS SAID THEY WILL TALK ABOUT THE PROPERTY IN THE
FUTURE.
BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS THE COUNTY IS NOW OVER $160,000 RICHER AND
THE PROPERTY THEY SOLD NOW GOES BACK ON THE TAX ROLLS.

THANKS FOR CHECKING IN AGAIN.
