MAQUOKETA FROM 7 A.M.UNTIL 8 P.M. IN MAQUOKETA,
THERE ARE TWO RUNNING FOR THE AT-LARGE COUNCIL
POSITION, INCUMBENT NEIL MOREHEAD AND ED TURNEY.
AND IN THE OTHER CONTEST IN MAQUOKETA, THERE ARE THREE RUNNING FOR FIFTH WARD COUNCIL. THEY ARE LEONARD DITCH, TODD GREEN AND MARGO SHOUSE.

SAGE ROSENFELS STARTED FOR HOUSTON YESTERDAY, PLAYED THE WHOLE GAME AND DIRECTED THE TEXANS TO A WIN OVER OAKLAND, INCLUDING A 65 YARD TOUCHDOWN PASS IN THE FOURTH QUARTER. ALL MAQUOKETA FOOTBALL FANS ARE HAPPY ABOUT THAT.

TRAVIS SAUNDERS ROLLED A 300 GAME LAST WEEK IN THE
SUBURBAN BUD LIGHT LEAGUE AT TIMER LANES. ENDED UP WITH A 717 SERIES.

THE MIDAMERICA NAZARENE UNIVERSITY MEN'S BASKETBALL
TEAM IS RANKED NUMBER ONE IN THE MEN'S N.A.I.A. DIVISION
TWO PRE-SEASON POLL. THEY FINISHED LAST YEAR AS THE NUMBER ONE TEAM. THE COACH IS ROCKY LAMAR, FORMERLY OF MAQUOKETA. BILL FLEMMING IS ASSISTANT COACH AND
SENIOR ADAM HEPKER OF MAQUOKETA IS A POINT GUARD AND THEIR LEADING SCORER. THEY STARTED OFF THE SEASON
THIS WEEKEND IN A TOURNAMENT AND WON BOTH GAMES, SO THEY ARE OFF TO A GOOD START AGAIN. MIDAMERICA IS IN OLATHE, KANSAS.

WIND ADVISORY TONIGHT AND FLURRIES POSSIBLE. GOSH ITS NICE TO HAVE THE FOUR SEASONS.
