A SAVANNA MAN LOST HIS ARM IN A ONE VEHICLE ACCIDENT LAST NIGHT NEAR SABULA. HE ROUNDED A CURVE AND HIS VEHICLE HIT THE GUARDRAIL. HIS SIDE WINDOW WAS DOWN AND THE DRIVER HAD HIS ARM RESTING ON THE DOOR WHEN THE ARM WAS SEVERED BY THE GUARD RAIL. HE WAS ALSO THEN THROWN FROM THE VEHICLE.

TWO VEHICLES COLLIDED ON 50TH AVENUE A MILE NORTH OF BALDWIN AT 5 YESTERDAY AFTERNOON. ONE DRIVER, 23 YEAR OLD ABIGAIL FELDERMAN OF MAQUOKETA AND THE OTHER DRIVER, ROBERT DEEGAN, 62, OF MAQUOKETA. NO INJURIES. THE ACCIDENT IS STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION AND NO CHARGES HAVE BEEN FILED AT THIS TIME.

THE PAMIDA STORE IN BELLEUVE IS GOING OUT OF BUSINESS. FIVE OTHER PAMIDA STORES IN IOWA ALSO. THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP OF PAMIDA STORES. BELLEVUE OF COURSE IS UNHAPPY AND WILL LOOK HELP SEEK A NEW TENANT. PAMADI HAD A STORE IN MAQUOKETA AND IT WASN'T LONG AFTER WAL MART CAME, THAT IT CLOSED. THERE IS ALSO A STORE IN SAVANNA. A CEMENT BLOCK WALL IS GOING UP AT THE NEW WAL MART STORE SOUTH OF TOWN, EVEN THOUGH LEVELING OF THE LAND IS NOT COMPLETED.

"CARS" STARTS NATIONWIDE AND AT THE 61 DRIVE-IN THEATRE A WEEK FROM TONIGHT. EXPECTED TO BE THE BIGGEST MOVIE OF THE SUMMER!
