VOLLEYBALL, 3 GAMES TO 0......25-8 AND 25 TO 15 AND 25 TO 8 AGAIN.
MAQUOKETA IS NOW 0 - 11 FOR THE SEASON.

RED HENTON WAS 97 SUNDAY.   CELEBRATED HIS BIRTHDAY AT DAUGHTER JUDY'S  HOUSE AT CLINTON.    ALSO HAS DAUGHTER NANCY IN
GEORGIA.    THE NEXT DAY, MONDAY, LABOR DAY, HE WAS TREATED FOR A BIRTHDAY LUNCH OF PIZZA AT GODFATHER'S (AT KJ'S) AND THEN IN
A CONVERTIBLE, THEY TOOK A RIDE AROUND TOWN.    GOOD TIME BY
ALL WAS  WHAT I HEARD.    LEFT TO RIGHT, COLLEEN HERMAN, RED,
LINDA GROBSTICK IN NAVY SHIRT, LONNIE HERMAN AND PATTY KRANTZ.

"ONE OF A KIND MAQUOKETA" NOW HAS A NEW SECOND STORY OVERHEAD
GARAGE DOOR....AT THE FAIRGROUNDS.    IT OPENS TO A SECOND
STORY ROOM USED FOR STORING FAIR "SPONSOR" SIGNS.    USING A LIFT.....
A LOT BETTER THAN LUGGING THEM UP AND DOWN NARROW STEPS,
SAYS FAIR MANAGER LANNY SIMPSON.     SHE SPOKE AT ROTARY TODAY,
ABOUT THE JUST OVER RECORD-ATTENDANCE FAIR.
