TUESDAY DAILY

WITHOUT ADVANCE NOTICE, A CIRCUS (FROM DENTON, TEXAS) ARRIVED IN
TOWN SUNDAY, AT THE FAIRGROUNDS (RENTED SPACE THERE) AND
MONDAY, LABOR DAY, PUT ON TWO PEFORMANCES AT 4:30 AND 7:30.
MY 3 GREAT GRANDKIDS FOUND OUT AND ASKED TO GO, SO I TOOK THEM.
NO  PROBLEM, I'M A BIG CIRCUS FAN.
THEY HAD A NICE TENT.    WITH EACH ADULT TICKET, A KID GOT IN FREE.
$12 FOR A SENIOR AND $14 FOR OTHERS.   SO, COST ME $38 FOR THE
6 OF US.   NOT BAD AT ALL.    SHOW WAS NOT MUCH OVER AN HOUR.
NO ADVERTISING, JUST SIGNS ON PLATT STREET AND MENTIONED ON
FACEBOOK.    AT THE 4:30 SHOW, AROUND 50 ADULTS AND SLIGHTLY
MORE KIDS.     HAVE NO IDEA HOW MANY WENT TO LATE PERFORMANCE.
THEY HAD FACE PAINTING, SOLD POPCORN, POP, SNO-CONES,
COTTON CANDY AND WITH SOME OTHER SPECIALS....THEY DID OKAY
IF THE 7:30 SHOW HAD AN AUDIENCE.
THE APPARENT OWNER OF THE CIRCUS DID A LOT, FROM RINGMASTER
TO A BAD MAGICIAN  ACT.
THE FACE PAINTER WAS GOOD AT IT.
THE  HIGH BALANCE ACT WAS ALSO BY THE PRETTY FACE PAINTER AND SHE WAS ALSO GOOD AT IT.   BEST ACT OF THE DAY.    BELOW IS THEIR
ONE CLOWN AND HE WAS A 5 ON A 10 SCALE.
MY GREAT GRANDKIDS.    THEIR MOM SARA WAS NICE AND GENEROUS
AS YOU CAN SEE.   AND PHOTO DOES NOT INCLUDE WHAT THEY PUT
IN THEIR STOMACH.
CONCESSION STAND.   I THINK ALL FOOD WAS $3.   TOYS AT RIGHT MORE
OF COURSE.
NO ANIMALS IN THE SHOW.    YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD AT LEAST
HAVE A DOG OR PONY ACT, OR BOTH.
NO RINGLING BROTHERS BARNUM AND BAILLY BUT ALL THE KIDS LOVED
THE PERFORMANCE.
NO WHAT?   I DID TOO!   AND SO DID NANCY!    AND SARA!

SUNDAY, TOOK OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS TO IOWA'S BIGGEST PORK
DINNER IN BELLEVUE, IN ST. JOE'S NEW GYM.    GOOD FOOD.  GOOD CROWD
AS ALWAYS.

NICE WEEKEND WITH NICE WEATHER.

FRIDAY NIGHT, MAQUOKETA LOST THEIR FOOTBALL GAME AT ANAMOSA...
IF I REMEMBER RIGHT.. 42 TO 20.    THE CARDS ARE NOW 0 AND 2.
BOTH GAMES NON-DISTRICT.    THEY  PLAY THEIR FIRST DISTRICT GAME
AT GOODENOW FIELD FRIDAY NIGHT, HOSTING CENTER POINT URBANA.

THIS IS MITCHELL KELCHEN, AGE 40, OF BELLEVUE.   AND A POLICEMAN
AT ANAMOSA THE LAST YEAR.    ALSO A POLICEMAN OVER YEARS
IN DYERSVILLE, BELLEVUE AND SABULA.    SATURDAY MORNING HE AND HIS WIFE WERE DRIVING ON 62 NORTH OF ANDREW TO WATCH THEIR TWO
DAUGHTERS PLAY VOLLEYBALL.      HIS WIFE DRIVING.    MET ANOTHER CAR
DRIVEN BY WOMAN ALSO FROM BELLEVUE....AND A HEAD ON ACCIDENT
KILLED MITCHELL INSTANTLY.    HIS WIFE AND WOMAN DRIVING THE OTHER
CAR BOTH AIRLIFTED TO IOWA CITY.    GOOD POLICEMAN AND WELL LIKED
IS WHAT I  HAVE HEARD.    SAD.    FUNERAL THIS SATURDAY AT CATHOLIC
CHURCH IN BELLEVUE.   IT WAS A STATE-WIDE NEWS STORY MUCH OF THE
LABOR DAY WEEKEND.
