THE MAQUOKETA CARDINALS OPEN THE FOOTBALL SEASON TONIGHT HOSTING THE CASCADE COUGARS AT GOODENOW FIELD.
KICK-OFF TIME 7:30.     THE FRESHMEN-SOPHOMORE GAME IS AT 5.

MAQUOKETA CITY COUNCIL, IN THE 4TH WARD.    LONGTIME COUNCIL
MEMBER AMY MOORE HAS THAT SEAT NOW AND IS NOT SEEKING
RE-ELECTION.    RICHARD E. STIMMEL IS 37 YEARS OLD, SINGLE,
AND WAS BORN IN MAQUOKETA AND GRADUATED FROM MAQUOKETA
HIGH SCHOOL.    HIS PARENTS ARE RICHARD AND IRLENE STIMMEL
OF 407 WEST MAPLE STREET.    IN MAKING HIS HAT IN THE RING
ANNOUNCEMENT, HE SAID HE IS TIRED OF THE WAY SOME THINGS ARE RUN
IN THE TOWN AND ASKS VOTERS TO JOIN HIM IN MAKING MAQUOKETA
A "ONE-OF-A-KIND" CITY AGAIN.    STIMMEL PLANS A "MEET AND GREET
EVENT IN A MAQUOKETA PARK IN SEPTEMBER.


ON THE KMAQ STORK REPORT, A SON WAS BORN WEDNESDAY TO JACK AND ASHLEY OSTERHAUS OF DUBUQUE.    GRANDPARENTS ARE MATT AND
MARILYN OSTERHAUS OF MAQUOKETA AND DEAN AND HEATHER SIEVERDING OF BELLEVUE.    THE BABY BOY HAS BEEN NAMED DONNY ROBERT, AFTER  HIS LATE GREAT-GRANDFATHER DON SIEVERDING OF BELLEVUE AND HIS
GREAT-GRANDFATHER ROBERT OSTERHAUS OF MAQUOKETA.
