COMMERCIAL AT OSTERHAUS PHARMACY. THEN HAD LUNCH AT THE MAIN
STREET CAFE, BEFORE HEADING TO CLINTON FOR A TOWN HALL MEETING.
SHE GAVE A SHORT TALK TO THE FULL HOUSE AT THE CAFE IN
DOWNTOWN MAQUOKETA. WITH HER, STAFF MEMBERS, SECRET SERVICE
MEN AND THE TV PRODUCTION CREW. SOME SUNDAY AFTERNOON
EXCITEMENT FOR THOSE WHO WERE TOLD BY A FEW COUNTY DEMOCRATS IN THE KNOW. THIS WAS HER SECOND APPEARANCE IN JACKSON.

ON JAMES STREET AND TURNED RIGHT AND SLID INTO THE APARTMENT
BUILDING AT 303 JAMES. THIS WAS JUST AFTER THE SNOWSTORM.
$1,500 DAMAGE TO HOVEY'S 99 DODGE AND $4,000 DAMAGE TO THE
APARTMENT BUILDING OWNED BY RANDY KUHLMAN. NO INJURIES AND
NO CHARGES FILED.

AUGUST 20TH. THE 78 YEAR OLD NASHVILLE GRAND OLE OPRY STAR HAS MANY HITS.
FORMER SENATOR SHELDON RITTMER OF DEWITT DIED SATURDAY AT THE TRINITY HOSPITAL IN BETTENDORF. HE WAS 87. SERVICES PENDING AT
SCHULTZ FUNERAL HOME IN DEWITT.
