THE MAIN ISSUE, A NEW HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEM. AND TO MAKE IT COMPLIANT, WIDENING 6 DOORS IN THE BUILDING. THE NEXT MEETING WILL BE FEBRUARY 26TH.
AT THE SUPERVISORS MEETING TUESDAY, ENGINEER CLARK SCHLOZ TALKED ABOUT UNCONTROLLED INTERSECTIONS THAT LEGISLATORS MIGHT TRY TO REGULATE. THE IOWA D.O.T. SAYS THERE ARE 21,000 IN AND IT WOULD
COST $13 MILLION TO DO SO AND IN JACKSON COUNTY, $112,000.
ALSO AT THE MEETING, LEO MARTENS AND ROBERT ROHWEDDER WERE NEWLY APPOINTED TO THE JACKSON COUNTY EMINENT DOMAIN COMMISSION.
IN MAGISTRATE COURT, MATTHEW LASLEY, AGE 29, OF MAQUOKETA, WAS CHARGED WITH THEFT IN THE 5TH DEGREE WEDNESDAY FOR STEALING A FOOD SCALE FROM WAL MART, VALUED AT $29.97. HE AS FINED $185.

GAME LAST NIGHT TO DAVENPORT ASSUMPTION AT THE ASSUMPTION
GYM AND HAVE FINISHED THE SEASON.
AT THE STATE WRESTLING TOURNAMENT THIS AFTERNOON, CARDINAL
SENIOR LOGAN MAYBERRY LOST HIS OPENING MATCH AND THEN
LATER, WAS PINNED IN HIS WRESTLE-BACK MATCH AND IT NOW OUT
OF THE TOURNAMENT. BUT....IT IS ALWAYS A GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENT JUST TO GET TO THE STATE TOURNAMENT.
