CHRISTMAS SATURDAY IN DOWNTOWN DEWITT

WITH GOOD WEATHER, DEWITT'S HOMETOWN CHRISTMAS DAY-LONG EVENT SATURDAY WAS A VERY BIG SUCCESS.    FOR EVENING EVENTS, THE 3 BLOCKS OF 6TH AVE. (MAIN STREET) WERE BLOCKED OFF AND "HUNDREDS"  WITH LOTS OF KIDS WERE STROLLING UP AND DOWN  6TH AVENUE, CHECKING ALL THE "LIVE" WINDOW DISPLAYS AND STOPPING IN AT MOST STORES THAT WERE OPEN WITH HOLIDAY TREATS.    NEW THIS YEAR, THE LIGHTED PICKUP PARADE.     AND IT WAS ENJOYED BY ALL.    PROBABLY A DOZEN ENTRIES AND A PARADE THAT IS SURE TO GROW IN FUTURE YEARS.  I TOOK MY CAMERA AND SO LETS GO TO DEWITT....
