AT THE SHORT CITY COUNCIL MEETING LAST NIGHT, TWO PEOPLE WERE
APPOINTED TO THE MAQUOKETA MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC UTILITY BOARD
BY MAYOR DON SCHWENKER. TODD SEIFERT, THE DAC, INC. ADMINISTRATOR AND MAQUOKETA STATE BANK EMPLOYEE JAN KAHLER.
BOTH WILL SERVE A 6-YEAR TERM.
THE COUNCIL WILL MEET AT 5 P.M. WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 15TH FOR
THEIR ANNUAL GOAL SETTING SESSION.
THE NEXT SHOW AT THE OHNWARD FINE ARTS CENTER IN MAQUOKETA WILL FEATURE FAMOUS IOWA HYPNOTIST, JIM WAND. IT WILL BE AN ADULT SHOW AND ONLY THOSE AGE 18 AND OVER WILL BE ADMITTED. IT WILL BE
ON SATURDAY NIGHT, JANUARY 25TH. COCKTAILS AT 6 P.M. AND THE SHOW
AT 7. ADVANCE TICKETS $22 AND AT THE DOOR $25.
THE ELVIS SHOW NEW YEARS EVE WAS A SUCCESS WITH AROUND 500
IN ATTENDANCE.
BINGO STARTS MONDAY AFTERNOON ON KMAQ AM AND FM ... 3:30 UNTIL 4 P.M. MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. BINGO PLAYERS ARE OUT VISITING
