THE MILLROCK SCHOOL IS OWNED BY JACKSON COUNTY CONSERVATION
AND IS OPEN ONLY BY APPOINTMENT.    LOTS OF SCHOOL CLASSES TOUR
IT ANNUALLY.    TO ARRANGE A TOUR, CALL ANN BURNS AT THE CONSERVATION OFFICE AT THE HURSTVILLE INTERPRETIVE CENTER.
TOP PHOTO IS OF DON WILLEY OF BALDWIN.  HIS MOTHER (MILDRED SCOTT WILLEY) ATTENDED THE SCHOOL.   JUDGE NANCY TABOR IS IN 2ND PHOTO BEHIND THE TEACHER'S DESK.   NOTE THE PICTURES OF WASHINGTON AND LINCOLN.    NEXT
PHOTO IS OF THE FURNACE AND LIBRARY.    THE SCHOOL WAS SMALL,
BUT PLENTY OF ROOM FOR THE DESKS NEEDED FOR GRADES 1-8.
NO KINDERGARDEN.     AND OF COURSE, BOTTOM PHOTO, A BOYS AND
GIRLS REST ROOM.
WHEN DENNIS AND JANET STANGE  CLOSED THE BRIDGEPORT SCHOOL ON
THEIR PROPERTY JUST NORTHEAST OF MAQUOKETA, YEARS AGO,  THE ITEMS IN IT WERE TAKEN TO THE MILLROCK SCHOOL.
