PARTY SUNNY THIS AFTERNOON AND A HIGH OF 38.

IN A GAME BROADCAST ON KMAQ-FM THIS AFTERNOON, AT THE STATE
TOURNAMENT, THE NORTH CEDAR KNIGHTS LOST, 64 TO 35.
THEY NOW ARE 1 AND 1 IN THE TOURNAMENT AND PLAY FOR 3RD PLACE
IN THE STATE AT 11:30 TOMORROW MORNING AND WE'LL BROADCAST THAT
GAME ALSO.

AT THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING THIS WEEK, THE MAQUOKETA ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR, STACY DRISCOLL, REPORTED SOME BUSINESS
CHANGES IN MAQUOKETA.
IOWA CONCRETE PRODUCTS ON HIGHWAY 64 WEST, HAS BEEN SOLD BY
OLIN QUISSELL TO REECE LINDSTROM AND MIKE ECKHARDT. QUISSELL
PLANS TO KEEP THE MONUMENT PART OF THE BUSINESS.
GERALD MILLER HAS SOLD HIS TROPHY BUSINESS TO CHAD CHRISTIANSEN
WHO OWNS WOOD BARN DESIGNS OF RURAL DELMER.
SKEFFINGTON'S TUXEDO RENTAL, THAT WAS ALSO OPERATED LOCALLY
BY MILLER, HAS MOVED TO THE NEW ALL STATE TAX AND ACCOUNTING
OFFICE ON NORTH MAIN STREET.
THE ROSENBERG PROFESSIONAL BUILDING (YEARS AGO ROSENBERG AUTO SUPPLY) HAS BEEN LISTED FOR SALE AT $430,000. I SHOULD MENTION ALSO THAT
JACK AND PAM ROSENBERG HAVE SOLD THEIR HOME IN MAQUOKETA AND
HAVE MOVED TO BETTENDORF.
PAT AND JOAN COSTELLO HAVE LISTED THEIR HOME AND PLAN TO MOVE TO
ARIZONA TO LIVE NEAR DAUGHTER TRACY AND HUSBAND TIM. THE MOVE IS A HEALTH MOVE FOR JOAN. TRACY AND TIM HAVE DECIDED TO SELL COSTELLO'S
EVENTS CENTER (FORMERLY COSTELLO'S OLD MILL ART GALLERY) AND MOVE
PERMANANTLY TO ARIZONA. THEY WILL CONTINUE TO RUN THE BUSINESS
AND HONOR ALL BOOKINGS AND ANY NEW BOOKINGS UNTIL THE BUILDING IS SOLD. IT IS THEIR HOPE (AND MINE TOO) THAT THE FACILITY JUST EAST OF MAQUOKETA WILL BE PURCHASED BY SOMONE THAT WILL CONTINUE RUNNING IT AS AN EVENTS FACILITY. PAT AND JOAN BOUGHT AND REFURBISHED THE MILL
AROUND 35 YEARS AGO AND FOR MANY, MANY YEARS IT WAS A VERY POPULAR
ART STUDIO AND FRAME SHOP AND ATTRACTED MANY TOURISTS.

BETTY CASEY, AGE 71, OF DUBUQUE DIED TUESDAY. HER FUNERAL WILL BE AT 10 A.M. TOMORROW AT SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH IN DUBUQUE.
SURIVIVORS INCLUDE 5 CHILDREN INCLUDING SUSAN BRIMEYER OF MAQUOKETA.
MEMORIALS MAY BE GIVEN TO THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY. BEHR FUNERAL HOME IN DUBUQUE IS IN CHARGE OF ARRANGEMENTS.

MARY HOUSTON, AGE 71, OF HALE AND FORMERLY OF MAQUOKETA, DIED MONDAY AT UNIVERSITY OF IOWA HOSPITALS AND CLINICS, FOLLOWING A LENGTHY ILLNESS. FRIENDS MAY CALL FROM 1 UNTIL 5 P.M. SATURDAY AT THE HALE COMMUNITY BUILDING.

THE 29TH ANNUAL DOLL-TOY-BEAR SALE IS THIS SUNDAY AT THE FAIRGROUNDS
IN MAQUOKETA. IT IS THE LARGEST IN IOWA.

JOHN BROMAN'S COLLEGE CHOIR FROM GEORGIA WILL BE IN MAQUOKETA THIS WEEKEND AND WILL PRESENT A CONCERT AT THE FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH AT 7:30 THIS SATURDAY NIGHT, OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

MAQUOKETA HAS A NEW DOCTOR. JILL M. HUNT, M.D. HAS JOINED THE MEDICAL ASSOCIATES OF MAQUOKETA CLINIC ON WEST PLATT STREET. HER INTERESTS
INCLUDE ALL ASPECTS OF FAMILY MEDICINE. THE CLINIC NOW HAS 5 DOCTORS
AND 1 A.R.N.P.

THE KMAQ BUS WITH 50 IN IT, HAD A NICE TIME AT THE FLOWER AND GARDEN SHOW AT NAVY PIER YESTERDAY. ONLY THING, THE RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC
RESULTED IN US GETTING HOME AN HOUR LATER THAN PLANNED. THANKS
TO ALL WHO WENT.

DENNIS VOY
