BECAUSE OF THE FOG THIS MORNING, TWO SCHOOL DISTRICTS, MIDLAND(WYOMING)
AND WESTERN DUBUQUE, DELAYED THE START OF SCHOOL TWO HOURS.
AND TWO SEMIS COLLIDED IN THE FOG AT 7 THIS MORNING ON HIGHWAY 136
NEAR LOST NATION. ONE DRIVEN BY MITCHELL SCHMITZ (27) OF BALDWIN AND
THE OTHER BY KENT PETERSEN, (61) OF DELMAR. NO INJURIES.
THE DOWNTOWN CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS WENT UP YESTERDAY AND
TODAY. GARLAND AND LIGHTS ON ALL THE LIGHT POLES AND LIGHTS ON
THE TREE AT THE POST OFFICE. NICE! MMEU LIGHT PLANT WORKERS
DID THE JOB AGAIN. MAQUOKETA'S "KICK-OFF" OF THE CHRISTMAS
SEASON IS THIS SATURDAY WITH VARIOUS THINGS PLANNED.
THE VOY THEATRE IS HAVING A MIDNIGHT SHOWING THURSDAY NIGHT OF THE NEW HARRY POTTER MOVIE. MANY THEATRES WILL BE DOING THAT. THE MOVIE
STARTS WITH REGULAR RUNS NATIONWIDE FRIDAY. DOORS OPEN AT
11:30 THURSDAY NIGHT FOR THE SNEAK PREVIEW OF WHAT WILL BE ANOTHER
BIG, BIG HIT.
