SUNNY TODAY....HIGH OF 21.   DOWN TO 1 BELOW TONIGHT.    TOMORROW, SUNNY
AND HIGH IN LOWER 20'S.

IN THE NEXT 3 YEARS, THE MAQUOKETA SCHOOL DISTRICT COULD SEE AN ENROLLMENT DROP OF 180 STUDENTS.    THE DISTRICT RECEIVES $5,883 FOR EACH STUDENT FROM THE STATE.     THIS YEAR, A LARGE GRADUATING CLASS OF 170.
THERE ARE AROUND 90 KINDERGARTNERS WHO WILL ENROLL NEXT  YEAR.
FROM 1984 TO 2009, THE DISTRICT HAS SEEN A DECREASE OF 285 STUDENTS.
ALL THIS, PLUS THE GOVERNOR'S CUTS, IS CAUSING FINANCIAL WOES FORTHE
DISTRICT.

THE MAQUOKETA WRESTLERS LOST TO BETTENDORF LAST NIGHT.    THE CARDINALS
WON 4 MATCHES TOTAL.    NO SURPRISE....BETTENDORF AGAIN HAD A GREAT PROGRAM THIS YEAR.     THE CARDINALS HAD A VERY GOOD YEAR TOO.

A FORMER MAQUOKETA RESIDENT , JOE H. MILLER, AGE 80, DIED FEBRUARY 22ND
AT ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. AT HIS HOME.   HE WAS A 1947 GRADUATE OF MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL.   HE IS SURIVED BY TWO DAUGHTERS AND A TWIN BROTHER
IN ELDRIDGE.      5 GRANDCHILDREN.

NANCY AND I ARE OFF TO LENTEN SERVICE TONIGHT AT FIRST LUTHERAN.
SOUP SUPPER BEFORE IN BASEMENT SOCIAL ROOM.
LAST WEDNESDAY, WE WENT TO HER CHURCH, UNITED METHODIST.

HAVE A GOOD NIGHT AND THURSDAY.
