CLOUDY, WINDY AND COOL TODAY...HIGH MID 40'S.    A LITTLE RAIN IS IN
FORECAST JUST ABOUT EVERY DAY THIS WEEK.

SATURDAY MORNING AROUND 5:30, NO INJURIES IN A 2-VEHICLE ACCIDENT
ON HIGHWAY 61, ... 1.5 MILES NORTH OF MAQUOKETA.     JOAN HUNT, AGE 74 OF
MAQUOKETA WAS CHARGED WITH DRIVING ON THE WRONG SIDE OF A TWO-WAY
HIGHWAY.      SHE WAS GOING NORTH  IN THE SOUTHBOUND LANE AND HIT
AN ONCOMING VEHICLE DRIVEN BY A DUBUQUE MAN.     ABOUT $2,000 DAMAGE TO EACH CAR.

MAQUOKETA CITY COUNCIL MEETS TONIGHT AT 7.    SEVERAL THINGS ON THE AGENDA, INCLUDING THE FIRE MESS DOWNTOWN.

JUDY PUTMAN, AGE 60, OF BELLEVUE DIED SATURDAY.     THE FUNERAL SERVICE  WILL BE WEDNESDAY AT 1 P.M. AT THE LUTHERAN CHURCH IN BELLEVUE.
SURVIVORS INCLUDE TWO BROTHERS IN MAQUOKETA, DAVID AND KERRY SCOTT.

THE TEST DRIVE A FORD PROMOTION SATURDAY SPONSORED BY FORD AND
BURNETT THEIL FORD, WAS A BIG SUCCESS.    THEY  HAD THE MAXIMUM
TAKE THE TEST DRIVE AND THE RESULT WILL BE $6,000 FOR THE MAQUOKETA ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB.

HAPPY 60TH ANNIVERSARY TODAY TO MICHAEL AND EDNA REUTER OF
MAQUOKETA.   THEY ARE PARENTS OF 12.    THEY FARMED UNTIL MOVING TO
MAQUOKETA IN 2000.

FAY MOELLER OF MAQUOKETA CELEBRATED HIS 100TH BIRTHDAY SUNDAY.
RED HENTON SAID HE VISITED FAY YESTERDAY AND HE WAS ENJOYING
HIS BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION.      HE NOW LIVES AT CRESTRIDGE....LIVED IN HIS HOME UNTIL A COUPLE MONTHS AGO.   LONGTIME MUSICIAN AND KMAQ LISTENER.
