LAST NIGHT WAS GUEST NIGHT AT CLOVER RIDGE PLACE, THE ASSISTANT LIVING PLACE UP ON THE HILL OFF WEST PLATT STREET. POTATO SOUP, SLOPPY JOES,
AND COOKIES WERE SERVED. THE EVENT WAS PLANNED BY GAY STORLIE,
THE ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR THE PAST TWO YEARS FOR CLOVER RIDGE, AND SHOWN HER SERVING SOME COOKIES TO NOLAN "ZUG" ZUGSCHWERDT, LONGTIME MAQUOKETA RESIDENT, TEACHER AND RETIRED BUSINESSMAN. THIS IS FFA WEEK AND MANY YEARS AGO, HE WAS A MAQUOKETA FFA ADVISOR WHEN HE TAUGHT
AG AT THE MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL. HE LEFT TEACHING AND HE AND THE
LATE JIM BLAYNEY THEN OPERATED A FEED STORE KNOWN AS B & Z MILL AND

IT WAS A FUN NIGHT LAST NIGHT AND EVERYONE HAD A GOOD TIME.
