TODAY IS KMAQ'S 50TH! ABOVE, THE BIRTHDAY CAKE PRESENTED TO ME WHILE
DOING THE "JUST TALK" SHOW THIS MORNING. THE TALK SHOW WAS RECORDED, THE FULL HOUR, AND LATER TODAY, YOU CAN LISTEN TO IT BY GOING TO THE
KMAQ HOME PAGE, www.kmaq.com
THE DUBUQUE TELEGRAPH HERALD HAD A FRONT PAGE STORY ON KMAQ TODAY, ALONG WITH A COLOR PHOTO OF ME. THEY ALSO HAVE A SHORT VIDEO ON THEIR WEBSITE. IT IS ABOUT A MINUTE LONG, WITH ME TELLING ABOUT KMAQ. DON'T LOOK AT MY MESSY DESK. I WAS A GUEST FOR THE FIRST QUARTER-HOUR THIS MORNING ON DERRY BROWNFIELD'S "COMMON SENSE" NATIONAL RADIO SHOW. TONIGHT, THERE WILL BE A FEATURE ON KMAQ ON KWWL-TV IN WATERLOO. WE HAVE HAD A $50 DRAWING FIVE TIMES TODAY AND TOMORROW, I WILL LIST THE WINNERS. GUESTS THAT CAME IN TO MAKE THE DRAWINGS TODAY WERE LONGTIME ADVERTISERS, BOB OSTERHAUS, ED TUBBS, VIVIAN RIVER, ROCHELLE .......AND TONIGHT, WILL HAVE A FAMILY AND STAFF DINNER AT NANCY'S HOME.
LOOKING FORWARD TO IT, AND I'M GLAD WE HAVE BEAUTIFUL WEATHER TOO.
THE CANDIDATES FORUM THAT I MENTIONED YESTERDAY HAS BEEN POSTPONED ONE DAY AND WILL BE THURSDAY AT 5 P.M. AT CITY HALL.
NOT MUCH NEWS TODAY. NO BIRTHS OR DEATHS.
SO...BUSY AND NEED TO MOVE ON.
TAKE CARE.
