ANOTHER NICE DAY TODAY.
MAY GET SOME RAIN TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY.
A DAVENPORT MAN LEAD POLICE ON A CHASE ON HIGHWAY 61 SATURDAY NIGHT, AND THE CHASE ENDED JUST SOUTH OF MAQUOKETA WITH THE GUY'S VAN CATCHING ON FIRE AND THE CLINTON COUNTY K-9 UNIT TAKING HIM TO THE GROUND. AT ONE TIME, THERE WERE ABOUT 8 PATROL CARS THAT CAME TO THE SCENE, ABOUT 6 P.M, JUST NORTH OF HIGHWAY 136 AND NOT FAR FROM THE DRIVE-IN THEATRE. LOTS OF EXCITMENT FOR AWHILE.
THE MAQUOKETA POLICE ARE LOOKING FOR A WHITE HEAVY DUTY TRUCK WHICH ALLEGEDLY
HIT A CAR IN FRON OF PERXACTLY'S BAR AND GRILL (FORMERLY HOV'S) IN DOWNTOWN MAQUOKETA EARLY SATURDAY MORNING. THE DAMAGED VEHICLE BELONGS TO PAUL DAGUE.
THE MAQUOKETA VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED TO A MINOR FIRE SUNDAY NIGHT TO THE PRAIRIE QUAIL FARM.
AND..THEY ARE POURING FOOTINGS TODAY FOR THE NEW FIRE STATION ADDITION.
MAQUOKETA CITY COUNCIL MEETING TONIGHT.
THE MAQUOKETA SWIM TEAM HAS A MEET TONIGHT AT 6 AT THE MAQUOKETA POOL.
MAQUOKETA'S POOL IS IN GOOD SHAPE AND BEING USED DAILY. OVER 30 WORK PART TIME AT IT.
