TRACY AND TIM TAYLOR STANDING TONIGHT AT THE ENTRY TO THEIR NEW
COSTELLO'S OLD MILL EVENTS CENTER JUST EAST OF MAQUOKETA. AND TONIGHT, THE JACKSON COUNTY AREA TOURISM ASSOCIATION 3RD ANNUAL BANQUET WAS THE FIRST EVENT TO BE HELD AT THE BEAUTIFUL NEW FACILITY.
A DOWNPOUR OF RAIN CAME BEFORE 6 P.M. AND JUST AFTER MOST GUESTS HAD ARRIVED. IT ENDED QUICKLY AND THE REST OF THE EVENING WAS NICE.
A FULL HOUSE ENJOYED A MEAL CATERED BY THE HOMETOWN CAFE IN PRESTON.
THE WELCOME AND INTRODUCTIONS WERE BY STEVE TEBBE, PRESIDENT OF THE TOURISM GROUP. THE GUEST SPEAKER WAS FORMER CONGRESSMAN MIKE BLOUIN, OF DUBUQUE AND NOW DOING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT WORK FOR DUBUQUE. THE BIG AWARD OF THE EVENING, THE JACKSON COUNTY PROMOTIONAL PARNTER AWARD WENT TO LINDA AND DON POWLISTHA.
