THREE MAQUOKETA WRESTLERS WERE WINNERS SATURDAY IN THE SECTIONAL WRESTLING TOURNAMENT AND WILL BE IN THE DISTRICT

RAY SELLNAU, 89, OF MAQUOKETA, DIED SATURDAY AND HIS FULL OBITUARY IS AT www.carsonandson.com
THE KMAQ FARM AND HOME SHOW ENDED UP AROUND 300 SHORT IN ATTENDACE COMPARED TO LAST YEAR, BECAUSE OF THE COLDER WEATHER. THE PRIZE WINNER OF THE $200 VALENTINE BASKET
WAS ELAINE WATTERS OF SOUTH MAIN, MAQUOKETA.
THANKS TO ALL WHO ATTENDED AND TO ALL WHO HELPED IN ANY WAY TO MAKE IT ANOTHER SUCCESSFULL EVENT. WE ALREADY HAVE PLANS AND NEW IDEAS FOR NEXT YEAR.
GOT AN EMAIL FROM CAROL AND GARY GROTE. THEY READ THIS DAILY REPORT. GARY WAS A BANKER IN MAQUOKETA, LEFT MAQUOKETA A FEW YEARS AGO, AND RETIRED JANUARY 1ST AFTER 41 YEARS IN BANKING. I'M NOT SURE OF WHERE THEY ARE LIVING, BUT BELIEVE IT IS AT MARSHALL, MISSOURI.
THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY MUSEUM IN MAQUOKETA IS COMPOSING A LIST OF ANYONE THAT EVER WORKED AT CLINTON ENGINES. THE LIST HAS NEARLY 2,000 NAMES ON IT ALREADY. IF YOU WORKED THERE, YOU
