HORIBLE DAY IN MAQUOKTA.
SNOWED LAST NIGHT.
SNOWED TODAY.
WINDS CAUSED BLOWING SNOW.
IT WAS COLD.
ALL SCHOOLS CLOSED TODAY.
THE REST OF THE WEEK LOOKING BETTER.
COMMECIAL (NOT RESIDENTIAL) PROPERTY LAST YEAR IN JACKSON COUNTY, WAS REAPPRAISED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 18 YEARS.
A CEDAR RAPIDS FIRM, VANGUARD, WAS HIRED LAST YEAR TO DO THE JOB.
I REMEMBER THE GUY VISITING KMAQ AND THE THEATRE.
I DID NOT MEET WITH HIM AT THE KMAQ TOWER SITE.
THE LETTERS LISTING THE NEW PROPERTY VALUES WERE MAILED LAST WEEK TO COMMERCIAL PROPERTY OWNERS THROUGHOUT JACKSON COUNTY.
BIG INCREASES!! KMAQ STUDIO BUILDING, NOT TO MUCH OF AN INCREASE. VOY THEATRE, A HEFTY INCRESE. AND THE KMAQ TOWER AND SITE, A HUGE INCREASE. AND .. THE INCREASES ARE THE TALK OF THE COUNTY AND WERE A MAJOR CONCERN AT TODAY SUPERVISOR'S MEETING. THERE WILL BE A TIME FOR HEARINGS AND APPEALS, BETWEEN APRIL 16 AND MAY 5. I MAY SEE A REALTOR INSTEAD.
