JUST HAD A COOL AND WET WEEKEND. MAQUOKETA GOT 1 AND 1/4 INCH OF RAIN. MOST RAIN DURING DAYTIME HOURS.
TODAY, NICE...HIGH IN THE 70'S AND A NICE FORECAST, RIGHT THROUGH ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT DAYS OF THE YEAR, SUNDAY.

RODEO WAS HELD ALL 3 NIGHTS AND COOL BUT LITTLE OR NO RAIN FOR IT.

AND NEW SOPHOMORE FOOTBALL COACH IS EXPECTED TO BE APPROVED.
A CURRENT TEACHER.

THE STOP AND GO LIGHTS AT QUARRY AND MAIN WILL BE REPAIRED AND PUT BACK INTO SERVICE. THE COUNCIL WAS THINKING OF MAKING THE INTERSECTION A 4-WAY STOP.

KJ'S CONVENIENCE AND DELI MART ON WEST PLATT IS EXPANDING.
THE ADDITION WILL BE TO THE EAST SIDE AND WILL INCLUDE MAKING THE DELI LARGER. THE FOUNDATION HAS BEEN POURED. G. L. STOCKHAM AND SON IS THE CONTRACTOR. KRIS EHLINGER IS THE OWNER.

THE ANNUAL TIMBER CITY ADVENTURE RACE THIS YEAR WILL BE
ON SATURDAY, JUNE 24TH, STARTING AT CANTON AND ENDING UP IN FRONT OF KMAQ. CONTESTANTS CANOE, BIKE AND RUN. ANY QUESTIONS, CALL CHRIS NISSEN AT NISSEN-CAVEN INSURANCE, 563-652-5171.

BILLY DEAN, FAMOUS COUNTRY SINGER (MARRIED TO MAQUOKETA GIRL) WILL PUT ON A CONCERT THIS SATURDAY NIGHT AT BELLEVUE, AT 9 P.M.
TICKETS AT THE GATE WILL BE $15. $10 IF PURCHASED IN ADVANCE.
TWO BANDS PLAY EARLIER AND GATES OPEN AT 4:30.

BERNARD HAS THEIR ANNUAL PICNIC THIS SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.
FOR 3RD YEAR IN A ROW.... I WILL BROADCAST THE 11 A.M. PARADE ON BOTH KMAQ AM AND FM.
