HE IS A MAN, AGE 44, WITH KIDS AT HOME AND HE AND HIS WIFE PLAN TO USE THE MONEY TO HELP OTHERS.
EARLY YESTERDAY MORNING, A CHARLOTTE MAN CAME ACROSS 6 CATTLE ON THE HIGHWAY, 380TH AVENUE. HE HIT THE CATTLE, THEN LANDED IN THE DITCH, AND WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL WITH INJURIES. DAMAGE WAS $10,000 TO HIS CAR.
A MINUTE LATER, ANOTHER MAN CAME ALONG AND HIT THE CATTLE LYING ON THE ROAD. HE LOST CONTROL AND WENT INTO THE DITCH AND WAS NOT INJURED.
A MINOR 2-CAR ACCIDENT ON SOUTH MAIN IN MAQUOKETA MONDAY AFTERNOON.
AN 84 YEAR OLD WYOMING,IOWA MAN WAS DRIVING SOUTH ON MAIN STREET AND JOHN SHEEHAN, AGE 69, OF MAQUOKETA, WAS BACKING OUT OF A DRIVEWAY AND DIDN'T SEE THE WYOMING CAR. AND THE TWO VEHICLES COLLIDED. NO INJURIES.
A SPRAGUEVILLE WOMAN, PAMELA KEMP, AGE 26, HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH STEALING MORE THAN $3,000 FROM JR'S WINE AND SPIRITS IN MAQUOKETA, WHILE SHE WAS AN EMPLOYEE.
THE MAQUOKETA CITY COUNCIL MEETS TONIGHT.
