SHE WAS A NATIVE OF JACKSON COUNTY AND SHE AND HER LATE HUSBAND, RAY, OWNED AND OPERATED A NURSING HOME IN DOWTOWN MAQUOKETA, ABOUT A BLOCK SOUTH OF THE LIBRARY. SHE IS SURVIVED BY A SON, HOWARD, IN DIAMONDHEAD.
ALBERTA MOREHEAD, 88, DIED YESTERDAY AT THE MILL VALLEY CARE CENTER IN BELLEVUE. SERVICES ARE PENDING.
SHE WAS FORMERLY FROM MAQUOKETA. WORKED FOR YEARS AT HAMILTON'S WOMEN'S APPAREL AND THEN LATER OPERATED HER OWN STORE, THE MODE O' DAY STORE. SHE IS SURVIVED BY DAUGHTER WANDA.
